What People Are Saying

“We had the most productive and wonderful time at a Mending Workshop with Daryl. She showed us a completely new approach to darning and mending. I came away full of inspiration and confidence. Apart from a very fulfilling afternoon, it was the most soothing and gentle way to pass the time constructively. What more can you want?!”

Karen - Slow Log Cabin Workshop

“I really enjoyed the workshop. Daryl is a wonderful teacher/artist, she ensures all are very welcomed and comfortable at the workshop. I found her step by step demonstrations for the tasks so helpful.. Thank you for the experience of Slow log cabin patchwork. I feel confident to continue with sewing more.”

Mags - Slow Log Cabin Workshop

Two people are sitting at a table working on sewing and craft projects. The table is cluttered with fabric, scissors, and sewing tools. Behind them are windows with plants on the windowsill.

“It was really fun and accepting, learning environment. I didn’t feel too slow - it’s all in the name I guess - and so was able to enjoy learning to do something new in a very relaxing, ambient fashion, also macaroons!”

Harriet - Mending Workshop

“I hadn’t quilted before, nor had much experience of sewing but that didn’t matter. Daryl makes everyone feel comfortable and supported throughout the session. She is very knowledgable and able to guide you every step of the way, but also allows your own creativity to come through. Daryl made everyone feel welcome and created a really nurturing group chatting to us throughout about quilting and it’s history. I really enjoyed the process, meeting Daryl and the other students. I would love to do that every weekend!”
