Slow Log Cabin Workshop - Saturday 14th March 2026

from £50.00

Let’s slow down and learn how to hand sew your own Log Cabin block!

Saturday 14th March 2026

This is a wonderful space to create quilt blocks without a sewing machine!
This is for everyone who has ever wanted to make a quilt but hasn’t got a machine at home.
You don’t need one in this workshop!
Make a unique log cabin block with every stitch sewn by you and not a machine!
This is a slowed-down, mindful way of creating which will in turn support you in sewing and being in the process - welcoming in every one-of-a-kind
log cabin block!

You will leave the workshop with the skills to make log cabin blocks and either a large log cabin block or multiple blocks in different colours.

You will learn:

  • How to hand sew a log cabin block

  • We will explore colour combinations and have lots of books for inspiration

  • How to prep your fabrics and have step by step demos of each part of the process

  • How to slow down and enjoy the art of hand sewing!

    This workshop includes:

  • Three hours of creating colour combinations, designing and making your block

  • 1:1 time to get inspired, chat through ideas, designs and processes

  • Intimate class size with lots of space for discussion and creativity

  • All fabric and haberdashery to make your log cabins
